General rules

Applicable immediately after admission

1. The term of the hostel will be for the academic session as prescribed by the University.
2. No student is allowed to stay in the Hostel duration vacation.
3. Every student will be provided with a bed, a table, and a chair. And every room will have tube lights and a fan. Each student will also be provided a single cupboard built in, in the room. Students must handover charge of hostel property in their use, before vacating their rooms. Students will be charged Rs.500 for each damaged item.
4. Students are not allowed to keep any other furniture in the hostel, other than that issued to them, by the college authorities in their room.
5. Working staff in hostel must be treated with respect by the students. In case of any misbehavior on the part of the staff should be reported immediately to the Warden by the students. Students shall not misbehave with staff on any account.
6. All cases of sickness shall be reported immediately to the Warden. A student suffering from a contagious or infectious disease shall be transferred from hostel and sent home till the student recovers.
7. Basic medical aid will be provided to the students. Students desirous of showing a private medical practitioner may do so only with the permission of the Warden. In such cases the student will bear all costs in connection with her treatment.
8. Playing music, radio or television is allowed in the hostel only with prior permission of the Warden.
9. No student shall dirty the corridors, bathroom and common room or cause damage to the hostel building, fittings, furniture and the fields. Breach of this rule will be punishable with a fine. Students must not leave their room lights or fans on when they are not in the room.
10. Students shall be responsible for the security of their property and valuables. They must not leave their rooms unlocked in their absence. The College will not be responsible for theft or lost of any personal belongings.
11. Students must not use any power operated electrical appliances individually or collectively except with prior notice to the Warden. Breach of this rule will be punishable with a fine.

Discipline

1. In case of misconduct, the name of the student shall be entered in the Conduct Book. Three entries regarding misconduct entered against a student in the Conduct Book shall be liable to expulsion from the Hostel.
2. Students shall not be permitted to keep even licensed firearms, knives, and other contraband material in hostel premises under any circumstances.
3. Students shall not hold any meetings or organize any activity in the hostel without permission of the Warden.
4. Student may not occupy any other room than the one specified by the Warden.
5. Students must eat the Hostel Food and no complaints regarding meals will be entertained. Extra edibles required by students must be arranged by students at their own cost.
6. No visitors other than the ones who have been permitted at the time of admission to the hostel by the guardian will be allowed. No material may also be allowed to be given to the student by any person other than the person so authorized.

ATTENDANCE & LEAVE

1. Students are expected to be in their rooms by 6:00pm. No student can leave the hostel after 6:00 pm without prior permission of the Warden.
2. Attendance shall be taken on all days.
3. Any damage done to the labs in any way will be charged to the student in its monetary equivalent.
4. No student must be away from the hostel during the term without the permission from the Warden and college authorities. Permission will not be granted unless application is supported by the applicant’s parent’s or guardian’s request.
